Frequently Asked Questions

What do I feed them?

We feed our babies Bullymax that is soaked in water over night with powered puppy formula mixed it. They can also have one tablespoon of pumpkin for every 10 pounds that they weigh, as this promotes gut health. Frenchie's are known to have sensitive stomachs, and may have allergies to chicken, beef, and dairy. Keep that in mind for when they get their special treats!

Too Hot? Too cold?

Your baby should not be outside for longer than 15 minutes when it is over 85 degrees outside. This could cause them distress! The best weather for them is spring and fall, as the temperature is best for them to enjoy longer periods of time outside! Limit their time outside when below freezing as well.

When do they come home?

They will come home to you after their second round of shots, at 8 weeks. There will be one more round of shots after the 8 week round. They should not be in high traffic areas until two week after their last round of shots to prevent diseases like parvo and dog flu.

How do i Train them? Potty training and more

We have bells for our stud to tell us when he needs to go outside and go potty. This is a great method to use to let them know which door they go in and out of! Our babies start out with turf in their pens to show them where to potty. Basic commands should also be taught such as sit, stay, shake and more. These are all taught with repetition.

Help! They are chewing on Everything!

A few weeks after they come home, they will chew on everything! This is because they are teething, and like human babies, their teeth are itching! It is best to get them a toy the is wood like in texture, and divert their attention to it when they start to chew. They will also nibble at your fingers in this stage. Be assertive and tell them no!

What toys should they have?

They should never have anything that is too small, because it could cause them to choke. The toys we have found our babies like the best are Benebones and Bam-Bones. These can be found at Hollywood Feed, Amazon, Chewy etc.

Bath time!

Our babies have sensitive skin! When they get home, they should only be washed in shampoo that is deemed puppy safe! Their eye folds should be cleaned out at least once and week and the need to clean them may change with the seasons. Their ears should never go underwater as this could cause an ear infection! For more details please reach out to us!
